June 12th is just around the corner and you know what that means….voting day! Do you know where to go? Who is on the ballot? What are we voting for during this particular election?

When is the best time to vote during the election?

The polls are open for the Virginia Primary from 6am thru 7pm however, Loudoun County Public Schools are OPEN on this day which has not been the case in previous elections. Loudoun County officials are urging voters to try to avoid voting when buses are dropping off or picking up kids before and after-school. Regardless safety measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of the children on voting day.

Where do I go? What is on the ballot?

Have you moved recently? Did you update your address but threw out the paper that tells you where to go? That’s okay, Loudoun County has made it easy for you to find out about your polling location just click here to find out where you are currently registered to vote, what is on your ballot, and to even apply for an absentee ballot for the next election.

What do I need to bring with me?

Be sure to bring a valid picture ID such as a driver’s license, passport or a Virginia Voter Photo ID Card. Don’t have a valid photo ID the Board of Elections offers a free one which you can get at the Loudoun County Office of Elections
