Ask Gina About Dominion High School
Are you planning on moving to Northern Virginia from outside of Loudoun County? Ask Gina & Company would like to reassure you that you are moving into an award winning, highly acclaimed k-12 school district. Within the Loudoun County school district resides Dominion High School of Sterling, Virginia. John Brewer, principal at Dominion High School, believes in investing in the over-all growth of each student and has stated his vision “to promote high levels of achievement for our most vulnerable learners, while reinvigorating our efforts to empower each and every Titan to grow as a person of character, respect, service, and leadership.”
Andrew Tufano, former Dominion High student and son of Ask Gina & Company CEO, Gina Tufano, believes that, “DHS is definitely one of the top high schools in the country. Having only direct experience at DHS and no other high schools, my comparisons are based off of stories from other kids I’ve met locally and at college in Nashville; but even so, it is clear that very few schools offer the balance of rigorous academic opportunity as well as a vast selection of competitive extra-curriculars. All Loudoun County schools are similar in that they push students to be their personal best in a well-rounded fashion, but Dominion is set apart by its principal, John Brewer, who forms a personal and positive relationship with every single student, knowing not only every student’s name, but the activities they’re involved in and their personal goals. Brewer’s passion, combined with the excellence of a Loudoun high school, raises DHS above other schools.”
Andrew’s belief is supported by national recognition of the Northern Virginia school and its students as well as the distinguished achievements of its athletic programs. The Dominion High School Titan athletes participate in region 4A conference of the VHSL (Virginia High School League) and their football team made it to the quarter finals this year while DHS is home to the 2013 State Champion in golf. The Sterling students have also formed and participate in several clubs revolving around foreign language (including French Club, Latin Club, and Spanish Club), music (such as Key Club and Guitar Club), and dance.  The school organizes several activities throughout the year and students manage and operate Titans Corner, the school store.
Dominion High School has proven to be an educational institution determined to help its students take pride in themselves and their accomplishments. Ask Gina & Company takes pride in our determination to find you the perfect home in Sterling or its surrounding communities so call us today at (703)574-3478 to find out how you can become our Northern Virginia neighbor.
