Big City Mountaineers ~ Help at-risk Youth Reach Their Potential!Big City Mountaineers ~ Help at-risk Youth Reach Their Potential!Blake Smith, a local resident of Fairfax County, Virginia, is doing just that! He has signed up to hike Mt. Rainier this August in efforts to help at-risk youth climb to their potential, too. Blake will be hiking the highest glaciated volcanic peak to raise money for Big City Mountaineers, a non-profit that supports the urban youth in under-resourced areas. The program hopes to enforce critical life skills by focusing on improving integrity, self-esteem, responsibility, decision-making abilities and communication skills.Statistics about Teens Supported by the Program:
